khotachiwadi

The Khotachiwadi Graphic story was part of the Neighbourhood project (2004 – 2005) that engaged with a small Portuguese flavoured village in Girgaum, South Mumbai. It worked with the invisible imaginary Khotachiwadi that overlays its real narrow streets and quaint ornate bungalows. Its anachronism and  naturalness became concrete through drawings embedded in narratives. The graphics told a story written by a resident and were drawn by art students from the JJ College of Architecture, a few blocks away.
